Sunday 20th January – A smaller crowd in attendance but the interest in Family History kept me very busy. Lots of questions about DNA and some more about Aboriginal Family History research.
The Lucky Winner of three hours of free research was Emily Denyer so I will be contacting her soon with the good news. Congratulations Emily! 🙂
We will be back at the Toowoomba Markets again next week so drop in to have a chat to me about your Family History research.
Cheers from Bruce
Sunday 13th January 2019
Another great day at the Toowoomba Markets and another Lucky Winner – Jan Beazley – was drawn for the many entries submitted. Thanks to everyone for their interest and support. It is always great to chat about Family history, and exciting to assist in any way.
I will be contacting Jan and all the entrants to advise them of the winner, but please contact me if I can be of any assistance with your family history research.
Today at the markets, it seemed there were so many people who said, we have done all the research that is possible but there is just nothing to be found. I am always amazed to hear that sort of comment and I just have to add yet. I subscribe to numerous subscription sites such as Ancestry, My Heritage, Find My Past and many more. One of these is Newspapers.com and they sent an email to advise they add over 10 Million pages every month, so a search that returned a zero result last month might be successful today. There is always somewhere else to search as well, so never give up OK?
We will be at the Toowoomba Markets on Ruthven Street (near the new Bunnings) again next week on Sunday 20th January, so I hope to see you there : )
Sunday 6th January – Bruce from Family Tree Search recently attended the first ever Toowoomba Market at the historic Mill Precinct in Ruthven Street (near the new Bunnings).
There was a free draw to win a ‘Discovery Research Package’ worth $100 and there was a lot of entries on the day. The lucky winner’s name was drawn and it was Angela Trace. I will be contacting Angela and all those who entered to advise them of the winner.
